MY GRANDFATHER worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad as a fixer of broken windows and wooden seats and he used to tell me: "Terry, you aren't rich enough to buy cheap things!" Wow! I thought, I never knew that before! Now I know, he was right. We have to be wise enough to spend money to buy good things, not cheap things. Wny? So we will always own good, durable things. Those good things last. Cheap things get broken and thrown out pretty soon and the money spent on them is gone - wasted.
