Fire needs 4 things to survive. FUEL. Fuel is usually the object that is burning. HEAT, then object has to be heated enough to where it starts putting off gases. OXYGEN, like humans fire need oxygen. CONTINUOUS CHEMICAL REACTION, this take all 3 and keeps the fire burning if you will. Remove any one of the four and the fire goes out!
