Every day we all learn things that we wish to remember.

They could be shortcuts, tutorials, tips, facts, definitions, pieces of code, quotes, recipes, reminders or even goals.

Some of us will write them down on pieces of paper or notepads.  If we're really smart, we might email ourselves the info or save it to a file on our computer.   But most people will just hope they remember it... 

And... of course...they won't.

Then they'll waste time trying to find the information again, or wrack their brain trying to remember that tiny little nugget of information they learned last month.   Perhaps it was a tax tip that could have saved them a boatload of money next tax season.; a solution to a nagging wordpress issue; or a traffic conversion tip which they need to implement in the future.

Think back and remember how much time you've spent looking for information you once had at your fingertips, but let it go into nothingness.   What is the sum of that forgotten knowledge worth?   A lot right?

There's a simple signup form and you can then start posting valuable information to your private database. If you want to make it public, you just uncheck the "private" box before submitting. You can post up to 500 characters of information. This will insure information is clean and concise.

When you see others posting valuable public content you can follow them and their public content will be added to your main information stream.

To be completely clear. Pagellan is about sharing information. It's not about promoting links, spamming or daily chit chat. It's not about the number of people you follow or who follows you.

Pagellan has a unique advertising system based on the tags its users create when posting. Every post is assigned up to five tags (keywords or keyphrases) to help organize and archive the content.

For example a user creates a post about repairing credit and tags it with "credit repair".

That term can be sponsored by one advertiser who can display a 250x250 advertising unit on the "credit repair" tag result page. The sponsor also gets a keyword text link on that tag page all for a low monthly fee.

As Pagellan grows this backlink becomes more and more valuable.   And the more content that is tagged with your claimed keyword tags, the more advertising impressions your 250x250 ad unit will generate.
