Japanese scientists created a mouse, which tweets like a bird. They hope that this will give insight into the evolution of human language. Called the Evolved Mouse Project, a team of researchers at the University of Osaka produced the mouse, using genetically modified mice, which are prone to miscopying DNA and hence, to mutations. In other countries, researchers study songbirds, for example finches, in order to assist them to understand the evolution of human language.
