  1. When you use appliances such as your washer and dryer, pay a small amount into a jar each time that you do. This will build a fund to help with repairs and you’ll be more careful to use them only when necessary since you must pay each time that you do.
  2. Make sure that your bank or credit union has a large ATM network. This is important when you are out and about the town a lot. Make sure there are branches near the places your withdraw money such as work, shop and date. This will let you avoid additional out-of-network ATM fees.
  3. Setup Automatic Payments to your Credit Cards as well as overdraft protection on your bank accounts to avoid ridiculous bank fees.
  4. If you have more than one car, seriously consider selling one of them. Not only will you save on the gas and maintenance of the car, you’ll drastically reduce your insurance payments.
  5. Look for other ways to make money without having to take another job.
  6. Don’t be afraid to use coupons, and buy in bulk. Small changes like this can add up to significant savings each month.
  7. Renegotiate your insurance plans.
  8. Refinance your car, or downgrade to something less expensive.
  9. Get a second job in a social environment somewhere. It’s a great way to meet new people, make some extra money, and when you’re working, you’re not spending money.
  10. Look for ways to reduce your monthly bills such as changing your phone or cable plans, weather-stripping, buying generic grocery items instead of brand names.
  11. Write up a detailed budget and look for ways to reduce your spending.
  12. Start bringing your own lunches to work and make your morning coffee at home, instead of the drive through.
  13. Start putting away the money you used to spend buying coffee and use it to pay off debt.
  14. Assuming you’re not accident prone consider raising your insurance deductibles. You can save $100+ every month by increasing the amount of your deductibles.
  15. Figure out how much you’d save each year by quitting smoking or drinking.  A pack a day can be $2000 a year or more.  And so is 5-7 drinks a week.
  16. Drive a lot?  Make sure you check your tire pressure.
  17. Call your phone company and ask them to evaluate your plan.  If you never specified a calling plan you could be paying 2-3 times more than necessary.
  18. Visit a Dollar Store.
  19. Buy generic at the grocery store.  A 1% Taste difference could equal $1000 a year or more in savings.
  20. Skip the Movies.   Movies are coming out on DVD faster then ever these days.  You may save $30+ per movie..   If you do goto the Movies, eat before you go and sneak some candy in.
  21. Visit GasBuddy.com to find the gas stations with the lowest prices located near you.
  22. When traveling always ask if any discounts are available.  You’ll be amazed at how many reduced rates you can get simply by asking.
  23. Need Business cards?  Goto Vistaprint.com and get 250 for free.

  8. Increase your assets.  Invest in stocks that pay dividends or real estate that generates passive income.
  9. Use dividends to buy yourself luxuries.. Never principal.
  10. Reduce your spending, most self-made millionaires live well below  their means.
  11. A few hundred dollars per month well invested can add up to Millions by retirement.
  12. Share your wealth, take a percentage of your income and donate it to charity..  It pays dividends for much longer.
